Our Player Development Philosophy
We identified a significant gap in the development of young football players aged 7–15 across many clubs. Too often, youth players are not given the individual attention, structured training, and long-term development focus needed to reach their full potential.
To change this, we created a training structure inspired by the proven Dutch training methodology. Our approach emphasizes technical mastery, game intelligence, creativity, and confidence—delivered through age-appropriate training and a clear development pathway.
Talented players are given meaningful development opportunities, including international exposure and partners within the Netherlands, allowing them to experience elite football environments and broaden their growth both on and off the field.

Through unconventional, high-intensity training methods, Inter San Diego is designed to push players beyond their comfort zone and accelerate real development. Our sessions focus on technical mastery, decision-making, and game intelligence in a demanding, professional environment. This is not traditional training — every session is built to challenge players, increase speed of play, and develop the habits required to compete at a higher level. Players who stand out during the program may earn the opportunity to continue their development in the Netherlands, training with select partner academies recognized for producing top-level talent.

Player Development Pathway
At Inter San Diego, every player has a pathway to grow. Our program is structured to support development at every stage—from recreational players learning the game, to competitive athletes, and ultimately to youth professional opportunities.
Recreational players who show commitment and potential are guided into our competitive program, where training intensity, tactical understanding, and performance standards increase. From there, top competitive players can progress into our youth professional pathway, gaining access to elite training, international competition, and exposure to professional environments.
This structured pathway ensures that talent, effort, and ambition are always rewarded, and that players develop at the right pace while reaching their full potential.

Since 2015, Inter San Diego is proud to have worked with and developed a high number of international players that have made the jump to the professional level. The amount of Academy success stories represents a tremendous amount of hard work from both players and staff alike, as we continue to create new exciting connections and opportunities for our players to take full advantage of.
We Now Have A
International Youth Team
Inter San Diego’s International Youth Team provides elite players the opportunity to train locally and compete internationally. Selected players participate in professional youth tournaments in the Netherlands, facing top academies and experiencing European-style development inspired by the Dutch training model.
This program is designed for motivated players seeking high-level competition, international exposure, and accelerated development in a professional environment.
